Cahit Şaher graduated from Ankara State Conservatory, Opera Department. After graduation, he performed as a soloist at Ankara State Opera and Istanbul State Opera. He furthered his expertise through professional work at Mainz State Opera in Germany and Volksoper in Vienna, Austria.

Since the 1970s, he has provided voiceover for numerous films, TV series, and programs on TRT and private television channels, and has contributed his voice to advertising and promotional projects. He also hosted arts programs on TRT 2 and worked on various news programs. He was the voice of the Arena program hosted by Uğur Dündar.
